Sunday Service

I went to church and I didn't bust into flames.  Okay, all joking aside, it was one of the best services I've been to.  Nobody came up to me asking if I was right with god or if I needed to be saved.  The people who say church is boring has never been to this church.  The music was awesome.  It kept me awake and entertained.  The pastor was well spoken and direct.  There were different branches of Christians, which surprised me.  I've never seen a church like that.  The people were friendly and nobody seemed to be staring me down like most of the churches I've been to.
The only thing I didn't like was when he started talking about giving money to "God".  This is always the part I have a problem.  I just can't see an all powerful god needing money.  I also don't see a god coming down from heaven to claim the money that the pastor has collected in his name.  The money doesn't go to their god, it goes in their pastor's pocket.  They were talking about a website (I can't remember the name) to help you make a plan to grow your faith with God.  It only cost 20 dollars to make the account, but I think that's all you pay for life.  I still don't see why you have to pay money to create a plan to improve your faith, but I guess people have to make money somehow.
All in all it was good.  If asked, I would go back.  But only if I was asked.  It isn't something that I would do every Sunday, but I'll keep an open mind and invite any evidence for a god someone may give.
