Homosexuals

I read a blog today that really just pissed me off. Normally, I don’t ready blogs from Christians unless I know them. But I was sent a link to this blog from someone, and its content really pissed me off. A lot! I really don’t think she’s read the whole Bible, because she’s pretty much preaching online. I’m sure some of her followers are male and that she’s having an influence on them. Which she’s not supposed to be doing. What a shame.
I don’t understand why Christians are so against homosexuals. She was said that being gay was a choice. I’m sorry, but being gay isn’t something you can choose to be. You either like the same gender or you don’t. It’s something you can choose. You can’t choose who you find attractive. You can’t choose who you fall in love with. To think otherwise is just plain stupid!
How many people have chosen who they fell in love with or who they think is attractive? NONE! You can’t control who you have feelings for, and just because you have feelings for someone of the same gender doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. You’re human! There’s nothing wrong if you get a tingle from someone of the same gender. Nothing at all!
Reading this blog, I have to wonder why people like are so caught up in this law of their god and not the others. The ones that say you have kill people that are homosexuals, women that aren’t virgins when they’re married, kids that don’t do what they’re told, people that don’t believe in gods, people that commit adultery, people that don’t believe in their god, and those pesky witches. What happen to those laws? How many Christians call those stupid people on TV that claim to be able to talk to the dead? That’s also a no no.
Or what about people having slaves? How come I see no Christians with slaves? The Bible gives the go ahead for slaves. Why are there no Christians owning people to make their own pitiful lives better? What about keeping a woman in the homestead? I thought the Bible said that women weren’t supposed to have any authority over men. That means no women teachers, preacher, politicians, doctors, or nurses. If you’re going to bitch and cry because the Bible says that gays are bad, then you have bitch and cry about not having slaves, women having the right to speak for themselves, and all the other things I listed earlier. You can’t pick and choose things out of the Bible to promote your bigot ways.

Religious Questions

I don’t understand some people. Well, most people really. I get links to questions on all kinds of web sites and I go in hopes of having a good answer. It’s funny because the links that I get mainly come from Christians. Some come from Atheists, but it’s mainly Christians. If I don’t know the answer or think the question is just stupid, I don’t answer it. I’ll admit, I do answer some stupid questions with a sarcastic comment. Just to let them how know how crazy their question is.
Some of the links I get are really good questions and I do my best to answer it to the best of my knowledge. Today, I was given two different questions. Well, one wasn’t a question, it was a statement that shouldn’t have been on a question site, but I answered it. The link to the statement I was asked to give the rest of the story. I did and I had fun doing it.
In that case I was told that I was unhappy because I was an Atheist. That statement is completely false! I’m very happy. Just ask anyone that knows me. I was told that I’d been mistreated. Name one person that hasn’t been mistreated at least once in their life by someone? Then I was told that I was blaming God for being mistreated. If a person mistreats me, I blame that person, not the god they pray to. I don’t believe gods exist. I’m not going to blame Santa because I don’t get what I want for Christmas. Then I was told that there would always be people that trust in God and I couldn’t get them all. Funny, because I didn’t know I was trying to get them all. Not sure what I’m going to do with the ones I do get though.
This was a really good conversation. He went on to tell me that I had a lovely name (which I thanked him for) and I had a great potential with life. Then he asked me to stop chasing darkness. Just because I don’t believe in a god doesn’t mean I’m chasing the darkness. The conversation ended well and he said he would pray for me. Felt a little uncomfortable, but I didn’t start anything by it. I don’t really care if people pray for me because it’s not going to affect me in any way. That was the fun conversation for the day. I had no big problems with that person. He was the only one today that didn’t have the intent of insulting me. I would gladly have another conversation with him again.
The next question I was linked to my answer wasn’t even given any thought because of my screen name. I’ll admit, it could be a little scary to religious people. The question was, “Science and religion are two completely different things.. So why does my christ and culture book have science in it?”. And I told her what my teacher in high school (Christian school) told me when I asked him this same question. He told me that that science was in the Bible Study (religion) book because God knew all the things we have now found through science today. That is what I was told. That is what I told this woman. She told me that it was two completely different things and that “&& coming from you name being "just1atheist" im not really going to take that in”.
I will never understand why religious people ask questions and think that nobody will answer their question that doesn’t share their beliefs. I don’t think I will ever understand it. If you want something answered and you don’t want it answered by people that aren’t Christians, why the hell are you posting it on a web site that allows everyone regardless of their religious beliefs? If you want your question answered only by people that share your beliefs then ask it on a Christian web site. Don’t get mad when a person that doesn’t believe in your god answer the question you posted on a freaking public web site. That’s just crazy!
I’m used to being insulted when I answer a religious question, but I rarely laugh about it as hard as I laughed at this one. I do get tickled a lot, and this is why I love Twitter so much. They send me the best links. I know that probably none of you care about this, but I just had to tell someone and since you’re reading it, you’re the lucky person. Congrats!

Keep your religion away from my kids.

I see no reason why I should believe the Christian faith. Just like Christians see no reason to believe my beliefs. I don’t push my beliefs on you, I would be grateful if you didn’t push your beliefs on me and my kids. I don’t run to your kids telling them that your belief in a god is silly, now do I? When my kids are old enough to decide a religion, they are free to do so. I won’t disown them if they believe something I don’t. Religion is something that every person must decide for themselves. It shouldn’t be forced on them and I won’t push my kids to believe what I do. It’s just not right.
I don’t think that anyone should be forced into a religion. I don’t think someone should be scared into a religion. I don’t think that people should try to force and/or scare someone into a religion. I don’t see where sharing your religious belief with someone is wrong, but I don’t think you should try to convert someone into your religion. If a person wants to know about your religion and then say they want to adopt your religion, they should be able to.
I don’t have a problem with people believing in a god. I have good friends that believe in a god and they are very good people. Just because you believe in a god, doesn’t mean that everyone should believe. The friends I have that do believe in a god, don’t shove their beliefs down my throat and I don’t push my beliefs on them. That’s the way it should be. You can’t make someone believe something by throwing it at them every time you see them. It doesn’t work like that.
The only that happens when you start shoving your religion down another person’s throat that doesn’t believe it is push them away. You push them away doing that because when you do that, it’s just plain annoying. It bugs the hell out of us and we don’t want to hear you preaching to us all the damn time. And we don’t want to hear you get pissy when we don’t convert. So, we just don’t mess with you. It’s just that simple.
But when you start pushing your beliefs on our kids that aren’t old enough to make that decision it’s going beyond annoying us. It pisses us off. It pisses us off because we don’t go to your kids and tell them there is no god. We don’t push our beliefs on your kids when you don’t listen to us and don’t believe what we do. Keep your religion away from my kids. When they’re old enough to understand religion, I will teach them all the religions that I’m aware of and they can make their own choice, not before.

Milkywayism

In the beginning was Big and Bang. Two Gods that wanted to create lesser beings to praise them because they had no self-confidence. They got together and talked about what they wanted their creations to look like, but they couldn’t agree on the design. They started to get aggravated with each other and started to argue with each other. The argument got heated and Big lost control and hit Bang so hard they exploded and caused them to die. This is the life and death of Big and Bang.

In the death of these two Gods gave birth all of the galaxies in the universe. The galaxies are called the children of Big and Bang because they were created from the energy of their death. These galaxies wanted to create lesser beings to honor their parents Big and Bang. They first created stars then planets then they picked the pretties planets of the all the systems they created around the stars started to mold the planets so they would be able to support lesser beings.
Once the planets were able to support the lesser beings and their parents were honor, the galaxies started fight over which one had the best lesser beings. Like their parents, they couldn’t come to an agreement and started fighting each other. They began to invade the other’s space. The bigger galaxies consumed the smaller galaxies and killed the lesser beings in that galaxy’s system.

Our galaxy is getting close to battle with another galaxy as you’re reading this. The battle will soon start and we must do our part to help our galaxy win this battle. We must start showing our support and love of our galaxy with songs of thanks for creating us. The more songs, the stronger our galaxy will become. We must all do our part to help our galaxy. Our lives depend on it.

Aggressive Athiest

Why am I aggressive? I get a little pissed off when someone says they will kill me if they ever saw me in public. I get a little pissed off when someone brings my kids into a debate that they start. I get a little pissed off when someone says I don’t know what I’m talking but they have never even read the verses they are debating with me. I get a little pissed off when someone says that I have no morals when they use their religion to justify their discriminating ways. I get a little pissed off when someone tells me that I’m going to hell not knowing that Jesus said that one of the requirements to get into heaven was obeying all of God’s law, not just the Ten Commandments.
I’m not talking about all Christians, just the ones that think everyone should believe in a god and live like they do. When I post a status on Facebook, Twitter, or any other fucking social network about God, I’m not talking to everyone goddamn Christian, Jew, Muslim, or whatever branch of religion you happen to be in. I am only talking to the ones that have sent me something that is stupid, ignorant, discriminating, etc. to me or any other person that don’t believe as they do.
When I see someone posting shit about how God is great, God has done this or that, God is watching you, or God loves you, I don’t get offended, pissed off, or defensive. But when I post something on my own fucking page that’s ‘offensive’ to religious people I’m the one that’s being inconsiderate and bashing. When I post something like that, it’s going out to a certain person, and they know who they are because I tell them so.
So, now that we’ve covered why I’m aggressive, let’s turn out attention to Christians that are aggressive, shall we? Why do some Christians feel the need to attack the children of Atheists? Why do some Christians feel the need to attack homosexuals? Why do some Christians feel the need to say evolution is ‘only a theory’ and never talk shit about gravity with is also just a theory? Why do some Christians feel the need to shove their god down the throats of people that don’t believe in him? Why do some Christians feel the need to discriminate against others for their beliefs?
Because their Bible says to. A 2,000 year old book that’s claim to be the word of God written by men. And the god in the Bible is a loving, compassionate, understanding, forgiving, all powerful, all knowing, and just a damn good god. What these people don’t talk about are the bad things that this loving god has done. If you believe the Bible then you should believe the entire Bible, and most don’t. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know everything the Bible says, and I don’t comment on those parts. But the parts I do know about, I feel comfortable talking about. Yes, there are some good things in the Bible. Don’t kill, steal, and lie. I can honestly those are good values.
But right after God says not to kill, he orders his people to go to war. What do people do when at war? They kill each other. And why does God want his people to kill? Because there are people living in the land that he wants his people to live in. And instead of giving it to his people (like he said he would do) they had to take it by force (steal) from the people that lived there. They killed men, women, children, and infants and they even took virgins as sex slaves.
So, yeah there are even things in your Bible that upsets me, and should up set any woman. Even if a female believes that she should be the property of her husband, she should get just a little upset when the Bible says a rape victim has to marry her attacker because he took her virginity and that’s his punishment. Every female should get up when the Bible says that a married or soon to be married woman that is raped must be put to death simply because a man other than her husband forced himself on her. Every female should be just a little pissed at these things that are ‘God’s’ laws.
There are things that annoy me about most of the Christians that I come in contact with. Like the fact that they only feel like you have equal rights if you think, behave, live, and believe like they do. And just to be sure you seen it the first time, I said most not all. If someone sent you a message threating your life or insulting your kids, how would you react? I may speak up when attacked, but I don’t back down.

Talking but nothing happening.

I am so tired of Christian telling me that I have to respect their beliefs when they show no respect for mine. If you want someone to show respect for you, you must show them respect too. You can’t insult a person’s beliefs and then expect them to show yours the respect you think it deserves. It doesn’t work like that. You’re stupid if you think it does. If you can’t respect someone’s belief or lack of belief then you can’t go around demanding respect for your belief.
You don’t have to agree with a person to respect them. You don’t have to share the same belief to be friends with a person. You don’t have to insult their beliefs because they don’t match your own. Everyone is different and everyone should be treated the same even if they don’t think your view is the right one. We are all have the right to believe what we do, just like you have the right to believe in a god of some sort.
I get so tired of people telling me that I’m a bad person simply because I don’t believe in their god. Do you see me running around telling people that they are stupid because they believe in a being that can do anything with a thought in his head but can’t be seen? No, I don’t do that. I don’t do that because there are good people out there that believe in a god and don’t judge me for not believing in their god or any other god. We have respect for each other and don’t insult each other’s belief and we don’t push our beliefs on each other. That’s the way it should be.
That’s the way people should live. But that’s not the way it works all the time. There are people of the Christian faith that scream at the top of their lungs to Atheists and call them bad people and throw insults about evolution (most clearly don’t know what it is), then turn around and demand respect for their god and their religion. It doesn’t work like that!
Then you also have Atheist screaming at the top of their lungs saying that religious people are stupid and delusional and demand that their lack of belief be shown respect. It doesn’t work like that either! To get respect you must show respect.
Now, I do personally believe that people that have faith in a god are showing signs of being delusional. But I don’t blame them. Some people need to believe in a god to be a good person. I don’t need to fear hell or hope for heaven to be a good person, but some do. And it’s not that people believe in a god that makes me mad. It’s when a person is downright mean to another person and claim they must because of their religion. That’s what I have a problem with.
Just because your religion tells you to do these things don’t make it any less wrong. We have a law here that’s to prevent those kind of things, but those only come into play when religion says it must. Religion has taken over this great nation and we’re going downhill because it. We can’t be a nation of the Christian god and claim peace of any kind. The Christian god is cruel and commands the killing of most of the people in the world. Anyone that’s read the Bible can tell you this.
